It’s time to sharpen your cooking skills in the Absolute Taste event! Gather up ingredients to craft the most delicious dishes. Make sure you balance out all the flavors perfectly as each meal will be judged by Chef Gourdon Ritzy. If he likes what he tastes, you’ll advance your Chef Grade! Earn Absolute Taste Coins to spend in the Spoon 'n' Pantry coin shop!

Prepare the Pantry

Players Lv. 33 and above can begin by accepting the quest from the event notifier on the left side of the screen, or by speaking to NPC Chef Gourdon Ritzy, located in most major towns. Select the Absolute Taste UI from the event notifier on the left side of the screen to decide what to cook first.

Before you can start cooking the recipe, you need to gather your ingredients! Hunt monsters within your level range (20 levels below and 20 levels above) and collect the Ingredient Boxes they drop. You’ll receive different Ingredient Boxes based on which tier of recipes you’re working on. Open the Ingredient Box to receive one random culinary ingredient for that tier. Note that the ingredient you get will disappear if you change which tier you're attempting.

Once you have everything you need, you’re ready to cook!

Now You’re Cooking with Gas

In order to whip up a dish, open the Absolute Taste UI from the event notifier on the left side of the screen. Select the meal you want to cook, and attempt to create the perfect flavor by carefully adjusting the types and amounts of the ingredients you add.

Once the meal is ready, click ‘Evaluate’ to let Chef Gourdon Ritzy know that it’s ready to taste! You can also click ‘Keep’ to put the food into your Use tab to consume later.

Chef Gourdon Ritzy will sample your dish and give it a star rating from 1 (“Insulting!”) to 5 (“Perfect!”). Aim for a perfect 5 star review! Each time you cook up a dish for the first time, you’ll receive EXP and Absolute Taste Coins (x10).

Check Out Your Chef Grade

Those stars that Chef Gourdon Ritzy doles out are valuable, as they help you advance your Chef Grade! There are eleven grades:

• Chef Grade 1: Earn 12 total stars
• Chef Grade 2: Earn 24 total stars
• Chef Grade 3: Earn 36 total stars
• Chef Grade 4: Earn 48 total stars
• Chef Grade 5: Earn 60 total stars
• Chef Grade 6: Earn 72 total stars
• Chef Grade 7: Earn 84 total stars
• Chef Grade 8: Earn 96 total stars
• Chef Grade 9: Earn 108 total stars
• Master Grade: Earn 120 total stars
• Legendary Grade: Earn 132 total stars

Each time you advance your Chef Grade, you’ll receive bonus EXP, a special medal, and increasing amounts of Absolute Taste Coins. When you make it to Master Grade, you also receive a Master Grade Chef Buff that gives Drop Rate +100% if you reached it, Drop Rate +20% if someone else reached it, for 20 minutes.

When you make itto Legendary Grade, you also receive the Absolute Taste Chair and a Legendary Grade Chef Buff that gives EXP +100% if you reached it, EXP +10% if someone else reached it, for 20 minutes.

Tiers of Food

You need to have a minimum Chef Grade in order to attempt some of the recipes in each tier. There are eleven recipe tiers, and the meals get harder to create as you advance! Here are some of the delicious recipes waiting for you:

Each time you complete all of the dishes in a tier, you’ll receive EXP and increasing amounts of Absolute Taste Coins. There are also special rewards for successfully cooking the food of different countries! Success is determined by receiving 3 stars or higher on each food item.

Earn Absolute Taste Coins from creating the dishes and spend them at Spoon N Pantry's coin shop! You can also find Absolute Taste Coins by hunting monsters. The coin shop is located in most major towns, and is well-stocked with lots of useful items.

Use your coins on items such as Mastery Books, SP/AP Reset Scrolls, 8-slot bags (Title, Chair, Coin, Recipe, Soul, Production), Trait Boost Potion, Spell Traces, Golden Hammer 50%, Special Medal of Honor, Epic Potential Scroll 50%, and more.
