Grand Athenaeum: Winter Bard

- A new story appears in Grand Athenaeum!
- Enter Grand Athenaeum through the Dimensional Mirror to experience Maple World's forgotten history.
- Hundreds of years ago, a hero and his companions laid down their lives for the people of Maple World. Their fates intertwined with those of the six legendary heroes who ultimately brought peace to Maple World.
- With the addition of Winter Bard, the Grand Athenaeum episodes no longer have to be played in order.
- Play through Episode 4: Winter Bard and complete it to be rewarded with a new medal commemorating your adventures in the past.

Bug Fixes
[Updated December 13]
- The Bingo event times are changed to be more convenient for players. While previously the times were from 12:00 AM - 2:00 PM (UTC), the times are now 12:00 AM to 11:59 PM (UTC).
- The issue where players were unable to redeem the tiered reward boxes from the Super Nova event due to having received TakeOver event boxes previously has been fixed. Players should now be able to redeem the Super Nova tiered reward boxes.
- The Cryojet quest should now be accessible from Alliance worlds.
- The Black Friday Big Spender event rewards have been distributed. You may pick up your rewards from the gift box notifier on the left-side of the screen.
- The Permanent Glimmering Raccoon Suit Mount Coupon should no longer disappear if you use it when you already own the mount.
- The text of several Cadena skills (Summon Daggers, Summon Brick, Summon Shotgun) has been updated to reflect that the skills are no longer only usable while airborne.
- The Android Shop is now accessible again for Battle-Roids.
- The Explorer's Cruel Ring item has had some stats restored: MaxHP +180, MaxMP +100, ATT Power +3, Magic ATT +1, Critical Rate +5%, Critical Damage +10%.

- A fix has been made to Rest coupons so that they are no longer given to characters that didn't log out.

Mega Burning Project
[Updated December 21] The Mega Burning event has been extended and will now end at 11:59 PM on December 31 (UTC).

Please avoid altering your computer time when participating in this event. Any changes to your computer time clock can cause issues when creating or deleting Burning characters for this event.
Requirement: This event can only be started by characters created during the event period.
- After creating a brand-new character during the event period, you have the option to give it the special "Burning" effect.
- After they reach Lv. 10, every time that character levels up they will gain an additional two levels all the way up to Lv. 150!
- This event is open to characters in both Reboot and non-Reboot worlds, with the exception of Zero, Cadena, and Illium.
- You can only choose to make a new character a "Burning" character after its initial creation.

Hunter’s Arena
UTC: December 13 (after maintenance) – January 16 at 11:59 PM
Requirement: Lv. 100 and above (Zero characters must have completed up to Chapter 2).
- Talk to Cassandra to enter the Hunter's Arena waiting map.
- Talk to her again to enter a hunting ground where up to 10 people can be placed in the same map at the same time, however they will NOT be in a party.
- If you are in a party and go to Hunter's Arena, the party will be disbanded but each member of the party going in will be on the same map.
- In Hunter's Arena, you can only see and kill your own monsters and monsters that you summon give 120% additional bonus experience.
- Pay Cassandra 10 Nova Coins to spawn 500 monsters.
- Your level determines the daily limit of how many monsters you can summon.
- Level 100~119: 500 monsters
- Level 120~139: 1,000 monsters
- Level 140~159: 1,500 monsters
- Level 160~179: 2,000 monsters
- Level 180~199: 2,500 monsters
- Level 200+: 3,000 monsters
- If you leave the map or disconnect from the game, the monsters summoned will stay. Talking to Cassandra while the monsters are summoned allows you to change the monster type.
- You can summon Arcane River monsters if your character has access to the area.
- Additionally, every 30 minutes, the Hunting Boost will be triggered at the top platform of the Hunter's Arena map for 30 seconds.
- During this time, the mobs will stop being summoned and a buff zone will be created at the top of the map.
- Going to the buff zone will enable you to share party buff skills with other users.
Nova Hot Week 2
UTC: December 18 at 12:00 AM – December 24 at 11:59 PM
Requirement: Lv. 33 and above (Zero characters must have completed up to Chapter 2).
- During the event period, log in and click the gift box icon on the left side of the screen to receive a Gift Box, and then double-click the box in your inventory to open it.
- The Gift Box can be obtained once in a 24-hour period every day between the hours of 4:00 PM PST / 7:00 PM EST / 1:00 AM CET / 11:00 AM AEDT, and 3:59 PM PST / 6:59 PM EST / 12:59 AM CET / 10:59 AM AEDT.
- Once you receive the gift box, you can open it anytime before 1:00 AM PST / 4:00 AM EST / 10:00 AM CET / 8:00 PM AEDT of the following day.
- If you have more than 30 unclaimed gifts, you may not be able to see the Hot Week reward. Please clear any unclaimed gifts and login again to see the Hot Week reward.
- If you obtain a Gift Box every day from Monday to Saturday, then on Sunday—in addition to Sunday's reward—you can select another gift! You can select one from all of the items that were given out from Monday to Friday. You are not required to have received each day’s Gift Box on the same character in order to be eligible for the extra gift, but it does have to be with characters in the same world (multiple worlds in World Alliances don't count).

- To be eligible for the final reward, both characters must be created in the same region (both created in Europe, or both created in North America). If you have already reached Lv. 200 with Cadena, you are still eligible for this event. This event can only be completed once per account. You may only receive one set of rewards from this event, depending on which tier you complete (rewards will be based on the highest tier completed).
- Accounts must be in good standing and may be reviewed for eligibility before the rewards are given out in a future maintenance after the event ends. You will be able to receive your rewards by clicking the gift box icon on the left side of the screen before 12:00 AM on February 1, 2018 (UTC). - Escape from the chilly winter weather by visiting a tropical island in the Winter Retreat event!
- Players Lv. 33 and above can begin by speaking to NPC Kemdi or selecting the quest ‘[Nova] The Secret of the Remote Island’ from the star event notifier on the left side of the screen.
- When you’re ready to go, NPC Kemdi will move you to the island.
- Join the battle and throw water droplets at other players to earn points!
- Use the WASD keys to move and the mouse left-click to throw water droplets.
- You can also use the spacebar to roll around the map quickly using the Rolling skill.
- Look out for trees and other objects within the map that you can destroy to gain skills and EXP.
- You also earn EXP from defeating other players.
Skills:
- Red Potion: Fully recover HP instantly.
- Deluge: After casting, the basic attack’s droplets’ size and attack power are increased.
- Whizzing Waterdrops: After casting, it increases basic attack and launch/firing speed and attack range for 15 seconds.
- Water Sprinkler: After casting, the basic attack is divided into five and fired for 5 seconds. Attack range is decreased.
- Rolling Reboot: After casting, your Roll skill can be used up to 5 times with no cooldown.
- Unstoppable: Become invincible for 10 seconds.
- Speedwalker: After casting, your base movement speed will be increased for 20 seconds.
Rewards:
As you earn EXP, it converts to points that you can use to get rewards! Speak to NPC Kemdi in the waiting area to exchange your points for rewards. He’s got some great items, including special chairs.

Winter Photo Card

Requirement: Lv. 33 and above (Zero characters must have completed up to Chapter 2).
- Collect different photo cards during the event to earn rewards!
- Characters Lv. 33 and above can begin by accepting the quest ‘[Nova] Collect Winter Photo Cards!’.
- Hunt monsters within your level range (20 levels below and 20 levels above) to obtain Mystery Card Packs.
- Open a Mystery Card Pack to receive one random winter photo card.
- There are twelve different cards, and each card can one of four ranks (B, A, S, SS).
- Cards have different effects. You can save the effect by equipping the card in the deck of the Winter Photo Card UI and turning on the effect.
Cards:
- Cygnus Card: Increases Boss Monster damage.
- Neinheart Card: Increases Buff Duration.
- Claudine Card: Increases Critical Rate.
- Mihile Card: Increases Critical Damage.
- Irena Card: Increases damage against regular monsters.
- Eckhart Card: Obtain additional coin from the Nova Box.
- Hawkeye Card: Gain guild contribution when hunting monsters.
- Oz Card: Increases Weapon ATT/Magic ATT.
- Blaster Card: Bonus Honor EXP is distributed when using Medal of Honor.
- Battle Mage Card: Increases STR/DEX/INT/LUK and MaxHP/MaxMP.
- Wild Hunter Card: Gives a chance for a bonus Monster Collection capture.
- Checky Card: Gives Profession Mastery.
Fusing and Trading:
- You can use fusion to combine multiple B-, A-, or S-rank cards, and obtain one card of a higher rank.
- There’s an 80% success rate when fusing B- and A-rank cards, but fusing S-rank cards has a 100% success rate.
- You can also trade in multiple B-, A-, or S-rank cards, and receive a B-rank card of your choice.
Sunday Special:
- On Sundays (December 17 and December 31) you can log in to the Sunny Sunday event and obtain a Magical Card Pack. Open the Magical Card Pack to receive an S-rank card of your choice. You can only receive one Magical Card Pack per account per Sunday.
