We want to provide an update on the current status of the game after a rocky update this week with the release of the FIREPOWER update. We first want to apologize for an unexpected number of bugs and other game-related issues that became apparent with this update. We acknowledge that the release of this update was not up to the quality standards we aim to deliver for our players, and we take this situation very seriously.

It is always our goal to provide you with an enjoyable game experience when an update is released, and not be burdened with technical issues. To this end, we were able to address some of the issues immediately with the maintenance update on July 9 and we are planning to introduce a minor patch update on Thursday, July 16 to address more of these issues. More details on this maintenance update will be coming shortly this week.

We greatly appreciate your patience and support as we continue to work towards enhancing the overall MapleStory experience, especially as it relates to the release of theFIREPOWER update. The feedback you’ve provided has been instrumental in recognizing that a problem existed and that those problems negatively impacted your ability to enjoy the game. We look forward to your continued patience and feedback as we continue to work vigorously with our development team in Korea to correct these problems and provide you with an improved gaming experience.
