Pink Bean

August 19 - October 6

Enjoy playing Pink Bean for a limited time!

Pink Bean Overview:

• Pink Bean uses Warrior equips. 
• The main stat used for Pink Bean is STR.
• There is no SP distribution option. Pink Bean learns specific skills at specific level ranges. Skill damage and abilities increase with level growth.
• You cannot select gender, hair color, and clothing for Pink Bean at creation.

Pink Bean Limits

• Players can play Pink Bean for a limited time only. (8/19 - 10/6)
  • After this period, players will not be able to play as Pink Bean.
  • Pink Bean character will be deleted during the maintenance on October 7.
• Pink Bean cannot trade with other characters.
• It cannot use storage, trade and cannot pick up items dropped by other characters.
• It cannot use cash shop or receive cash items.
• It can obtain Maple Reward Points, but you must enter the Cash Shop with another character to bank the points.
  • Enter the Cash Shop with a non-Pink Bean character to deposit any Maple Reward Points accrued by your Pink Bean.
• It cannot get party EXP from partying with non-Pink Bean jobs. It can get party EXP from partying with other Pink Bean characters.
• It cannot use the following contents and systems:
  • It cannot use Star Planet.
  • It cannot use part-time jobs.
  • It cannot get married.
  • It can join guilds but cannot create a guild or become the guild leader.
  • It cannot learn Ardentmill skills.
  • It cannot play Black Heaven.
  • It cannot join Boss Arenas.
  • It cannot play Heliseum.
  • It cannot use SP Reset Scrolls, Owl of Minerva, Skill Mastery Books, or Job Advancement Coins.
  • It cannot receive rewards from the gift box system including: Hot Times, Hot Days, and Hot Weekends.

• Pink Powerhouse: Available at level 10, MP Cost: 3 per attack, Tap the attack key to deal damage to mobs based on level, while also giving an increased damage buff to your next skill used.
  • 1st Hit: Max Enemies Hit: 6, Damage: 100% +3% per level, Number of Attacks: 2, Damage of next skill: +10%
  • 2nd Hit: Max Enemies Hit: 6, Damage: 100% +3% per level, Number of Attacks: 3, Damage of next skill: +30%
  • 3rd Hit: Max Enemies Hit: 8, Damage: 200% +3% per level, Number of Attacks: 3, Damage of next skill: +60%
  • 4th Hit: Available at Level: 40, Max Enemies Hit: 15, Damage: 200% +3% per level, Number of Attacks: 5, Damage of next skill: +100%
• Let's Roll!: Available at level 10, Roll around as Pink Bean while attacking monsters
  • On the Ground: MP Cost: 5 per sec. Cooldown: 25 sec. Hold down the key to increase your size
    • Normal Size Roll: Max Enemies Hit: 15, Damage: 75% +1% per level, Number of Attacks: 2 while moving
    • Giant Size Roll: Max Enemies Hit: 15, Damage: 150% +2% per level, Number of Attacks: 2 while moving, Key can only be held down for 7 sec.

• Receive rewards by completing achievements in Pink Bean’s Secret Diary
• Each reward is available once per world. 

Complete all the quests above and receive a special title: Holy Pink Beanity!

Pink Bean's Gift Box

Requirement: Pink Bean character

• Play as a Pink Bean character from August 19 and October 6 and reach level certain levels to receive a Gift Box!
• Rewards will only be given when reaching these levels.
• You have from October 7 to October 21 to select one of your non-Pink Bean characters to claim the Gift Box that has been earned.

Additional Updates

Party Quest Revamp

Various changes have been made to a number of party quests to make them more rewarding, convenient, and enjoyable.

Entry Limit

The number of times certain part quests can be entered has been changed to 5. The following party quests are affected:

• Cooking with Tangyoon
• Dimensional Invasion

Completion EXP Rewards

Rewarded EXP has been increased in the following party quests:

• Romeo and Juliet
• Lord Pirate
• Escape

Resurrection of Hoblin King Revamp

• Difficulty has been increased for more exciting game play.
• Progress speed changes based on how fast the mission is handled.
• You can get additional rewards based on Shammos's remaining HP.

Kenta in Danger Revamp

• New missions have been added.
• If you complete the missions, the guarding time for Kenta will be reduced.
• You can get additional rewards based on Kenta's remaining HP.

Others

• Dimensional Invasion's bonus stage will appear randomly instead of based on how fast the stages were cleared.
• Nett's Pyramid can be accessed through Spiegelman's Guest House. Access from the Dimensional Mirror has been removed.
• The level requirement for certain quests has been changed.
  • Dimensional Crack: Lv. 30 or higher -> Lv. 110 or higher
  • Lord Pirate: Lv. 100 or higher -> Lv. 120 or higher
  • Dragon Rider: Lv 120 or higher -> Lv. 130 or higher
• The required materials for a number of rewards from different PQs have been reduced.
• The following PQs can now be entered from regular field maps:
  • Cooking with Tangyoon: Nautilus Cafeteria
  • Romeo and Juliet: Zenumist - Hidden Room, Alcadno - Hidden Room
  • Dimensional Crack: Eos Tower 100th Floor

• The Ice Knight's Curse PQ will be temporarily closed.

Chryse PQ Revamp

Chryse has returned after its long hiatus and has been remade into a party quest.

Requirement: Lv. 75 - 120.  Recommended level is 75 to 90.

• 1-4 Players
• 5 entry limit a day.
• Start it by speaking with NPC Michaela located at Spiegelmann's Guest House.
• Reward will increase depending on the number of party members.
• Complete the PQ to obtain Chryse Core Fragments.
• Trade Chryse Core Fragments with Michaela for rewards.

Rewards:

• Chryse Core Fragment x80 - Michael's New Glasses: Eye Accessory, REQ LVL: 75, STR/DEX/INT/LUK: +3, ACC: +300, 5 upgrade slots (unhammered). Untradeable.
• Chryse Core Fragment x150 - Michael's New Glasses: Eye Accessory, REQ LVL: 90, STR/DEX/INT/LUK: +2, Weapon/Magic ATT: +2, ACC: +200, 5 upgrade slots (unhammered). Untradeable.

Tower of Oz Revamp

• Rooms and levels have changed within the Tower of Oz.
• Entry level for Tower of Oz has been increased from Lv. 100 to Lv. 140.
• Players who have already entered the Tower of Oz before the update at Lv. 100 will still be able to enter.
• Base time has been increased from 5 minutes to 10 minutes.

Floor Changes:

• 2nd Floor has been swapped with the 23rd floor
• 3rd Floor
  • Monster Egg drops has been increased
  • Eggs used for betting will be returned when losing the bet.
• 9th Floor
  • Number of correct platforms reduced to 8 from 11
• 14th Floor
  • Time limit has been changed to 3 minutes
  • 99 total of rounds
  • Numbers of monsters appearing changed to 20
  • Missing shots reduce the FPS mode time limit and the Clever Lady Hotline time by 15 seconds
• 50th Floor
  • The Meteorite skill is now a continuous attack

Ranking Changes:

• Ranking resets and rewards given every Monday
• Rewards
  • 1st Place: Tower of Oz Legend Emblem: All Stats: +20, Weapon and Magic ATT: +5, Expires after 1 week
  • 2nd - 10th Place: Tower of Oz Master Emblem: All Stats: +15, Weapon and Magic ATT: +5, Expires after 1 week
  • 11th - 30th Place: Tower of Oz Expert Emblem: All Stats: +15, Weapon and Magic ATT: +3, Expires after 1 week

Reward Changes:

• Tower Of Oz Medal of Honor: Rewarded based on the number of cleared floors.
  • Medal of Honors will not be rewarded if players clear 5 or below floors.
• Drop Box pieces will be rewarded starting at Rank 9.
• The following items will no longer be rewarded through the boxes:
  • All Cure Potion
  • Sunrise Dew
  • Reindeer Milk
  • Arrow for Crossbow
  • Power Elixirs

NPC Shop:

New items have been added to the NPC Shop

• Broken Ring Box: 20,000 points
• Spell Trace x100: 1,500 points
• Random Ring Box: 1,000 points
  • Ring Stats: All Stats +5, Weapon and Magic ATT: +1, Expires in 3 or 7 days. Potentials are given randomly.

Burning Field System

• Maps that have not been frequented by the players will be transformed to a Burning Field.
• You can get additional EXP based on the level of the field.
• Burning Field level will rise the longer it was not visited.
• There are 5 levels of Burning Field. Higher the level, higher the EXP.
• If a player continues to play on a Burning Field, the EXP bonus will be reduced. After a set time, it becomes a regular hunting ground.
• Only hunting fields with monsters Lv. 100 or higher will be turned into Burning Field.
• Party Quest, Boss Content, and some other maps will not have this applied.

Maple Guide

The Maple Guide has been updated so that you can see areas that are coming up and in the past. 

Maple Guide

• The Maple Guide has been reduced to a smaller window for all players.
• Use the + button to access the Maple Content Map.
• Boss contents, party quests, and themed dungeons have been added.

Maple Content Map

• Areas will be shown starting at level 30 all the way up to level 200. 
• Scroll through the new Maple Guide window to see what content will be available for your characters!
• Receive Completion Stamps for areas that have been completed!
• Party Quests and their rewards are also available through this revamped Maple Guide.

Mu Lung Dojo Ranking Revamp

• Mu Lung Dojo has been revamped so that the ranking resets weekly. Ranking will reset Mondays at 12:00 AM Pacific Time (3:00 AM Eastern Time).
• Mu Lung Dojo ranking mode will be closed on Sundays from 11:00 PM - 11:59 PM Pacific Time (Mondays from 2:00 AM – 2:59 AM Eastern Time) to calculate ranking.
• Timer will be stopped for 10 seconds when a boss is defeated. The timer will start again after 10 seconds or when you go the next floor.
• Resting maps are removed. You will continue up 40 consecutive floors.
• New job rankings are added in addition to the overall ranking.
• Job rankings will separate rankings between the different jobs.
• Beginner jobs will only be available for overall.
• Character that obtains rank 1 for overall ranking will obtain Hero's Glove.
• Character that obtains rank 1 for their respective job but not overall will obtain Mu Gong's Gloves.
• Character that obtains rank 2 or 3 for their respective job will obtain So Gong's Gloves.

Rewards: Untradeable; Potential reset not allowed. Time limit extension is not possible. 7-day duration.

Elite Boss Revamp

• Rare Treasure Chest item has been added.
• Player who attacked the elite monsters will receive one Rare Treasure Chest as a reward. There is no level limit.
  
• Player that causes the most damage to the Elite Boss will receive 1 additional Rare Treasure. Character must be within 40 levels lower or 20 level higher to the Elite Boss to receive the additional Rare Treasure.
• Rare Treasure Chest will have a 10-minute duration once obtained.
• Up to 20 Rare Treasure Chests can be used per world in an account daily.

Elite Bosses have been rebalanced.

• A number of attacks will have clearer indicators.
• Damage reflect skills have been adjusted to be easier to avoid.

Sudden Mission System

• Characters Lv. 33 and up will receive up to 3 sudden missions a day.
• The missions are given randomly throughout the day. 
• Sudden mission notifications will appear on the game window and contain the mission information.
• Each mission must be completed within 30 minutes to receive your reward and your reward must be obtained within a minute after completing!
• Click ‘X’ to give up on the mission.
• Rewards include the following:
  • Spell Traces
  • Equipment based on level
  • Slot Expansion coupons: 7-day duration
  • Master Craftsman's Cube: 7-day duration
  • Meister's Cube: 7-day duration
  • and more!

Star Planet Changes

The following 1-player games are no longer counted towards the Star Planet Daily Goal quests of playing mini-games once, 5 times, and 10 times.

The Legends Return!

• Two new avatars have been added!
  • Athena Pierce
  • Moonbeam
• A solo play Practice Mode has been added.
  • Through solo play you can practice your skills using any of the avatars.
  • You can select Practice Mode through NPC Ping Pong in the Star Arena.
• You can now use a portal next to your base to go to the boss.
  • The boss will now appear 1 minute and 30 seconds after the match has started.
• The recommended level range for each area of the map will now be displayed on the mini-map.
• Each team's base zone HP recovery speed has been decreased.
• The exit portal locations for Zone 2 and Zone 3 have changed.

Character Creation Restrictions

• In preparation for changes to the jobs, Kanna and Hayato will no longer be able to be created starting August 19 at 6:00 AM Pacific (9:00 AM Eastern).
• Beast Tamer creation period has been extended to October 7.

Intro Video

• You are now able to skip the intro video after 1 second, using the mouse or ESC button.
• A "Replay Video" button now appears in the world selection screen that can be used to view the intro video again.
  • When the video is replayed using the "Replay Video" button, it can be skipped immediately.

Soul Weapon UI

• An ON/OFF button has added to the Soul Weapon UI
  • When set to ON soul weapon effects will appear for you and other players.
  • When set to OFF soul weapon effects will not appear.

New Events

Lemonade Stand Event

August 19 to September 8

Requirements: Lv. 33 and up; Pink Bean characters cannot participate in this event.

• Accept the quest through the event notifier on the left of the game window.
• Quest can be completed every 2 hours, up to 3 times a day.
• Help Cassandra pick one of 3 lemons. There will be 2 sour lemons and 1 sweet lemon.
• Select the sweet lemon to receive a Sweet Profit Sack.
• Receive a Lemonade after selecting any lemon.
• Collect 20 Lemonade and deliver them to Cassandra for a 1-day Lemonade Stand Store Permit.
• 1-day Lemonade Stand Store Permit can only be received once per character.

Reward details - all are untradeable:

• Sweet Profit Sack: Randomly obtain up to 150,000 mesos or a random restorative item.
• 1-day Lemonade Stand Store Permit

Murgoth Dungeon

August 19 - September 15

Requirements: Level 75 and up; Pink Bean characters will not be allowed to enter Murgoth's Dungeon.

• Accept the quest ‘Beauty and the Beast’ through the event notifier.
• Enter up to 10 times a day in 1 on 1 Mode or Party Mode by using the Summon Scroll. 
• There are 10 rooms connected to each other in Murgoth Dungeon, excluding the starting points
• Chests will appear after rooms are cleared. 
• Points can be earned by completing the dungeons against other players. 
• Rewards will be given based on points obtained

• 5,000 points: Soul Enchanter
• 20,000 points: 500 Reward Points
• 40,000 points: 4 Use Slot Coupon

Cube Mission Event

Requirement: Lv. 100 and up

Pink Bean characters will not be able to participate in this event.

• Accept the quest "[Cube Mission] Meister's Cube for You" from the star notifier on the left side of the screen.
• Complete the daily mission given to you by Cassandra each day to earn one letter item. Only 1 mission can be carried out a day.
• Complete 4 days of daily missions from Monday - Friday to unlock the Saturday or Sunday quest.
• You must have all four letter items in your inventory to unlock the Saturday or Sunday quest.
• Complete the daily missions for Saturday or Sunday to receive 5 Meister's Cubes.

Maple Bonfire

September 2 – September 29

Requirement: Lv. 100 or above

• To participate click the event notifier on the left side of the game window and accept the quest ‘[Bonfire] Maple Bonfire Event’.
• You can enter the Campgrounds hunting map every hour on the hour.
• Defeat all the enemies and the boss to obtain a Bonfire Random Box.

The Bonfire Random Box will randomly award the player with one of the following:

• Hamburger: Untradeable; Recovers 400 HP
• Hot Dog Supreme: Untradeable; Recovers 500 HP
• Maple BBQ: Untradeable; W. ATT / M. ATT +13, buff last for 20 minutes

• Accept the quest from Silent Crusade Starling from the event notifier.
• Move to a hunting map and plant your egg using your Time Capsule Teleport Rock.
• Travel back and forth between your egg and monsters you have been hunting every 10 minutes.
• Hunt monsters within your level range to collect Feathers and return them to your egg to receive rewards.
• A total of 100 Feathers may be used each day. 
• Rewards are obtained based off of how many Feathers are returned.

Mystic Gate Reopening

Requirement: Levels 75 and above

• The Mystic Gate is reopening in Henesys, Pantheon, and Leafre. 
• Enter to kill bosses 5 times a day on weekends!
• Accept quests from Doctor Moon to obtain EXP from the bosses killed.
• The Bosses Zakum, Horntail, Von Leon, Hilla, or Arkarium will randomly summon into the Mystic Gate map.
• A 15-minute timer will start once the boss appears.

Reward boxes will be given to players based on their ranking:

• 1 box for every player that deals damage to the boss 
• 2 boxes for 5th player ranking
• 3 boxes for 4th player ranking
• 4 boxes for 3rd player ranking
• 5 boxes for 2nd player ranking
• 6 boxes for 1st player ranking

Burning Character

Requirements: Only characters that are lower than Lv. 100 can be set as Burning Characters.

• Gain 2 levels for every 1!
• Select a character in your character selection screen to have the burning ability.
• Only one character per account is able to participate. If a Burning Character is deleted, another character can be chosen as a Burning Character.
• Zero and Pink Bean characters cannot be selected for this event.

  • Frozen Equipment Set: Expires 7 days after obtaining

• Click the event notifier on the left side of the game window and accept the quest ‘[Attendance] Back To School Attendance Check’.
• Then click the attendance notifier and click "Challenge" in the attendance UI.
• You can check the participation and progress using the attendance notifier.
• Hunt 300 monsters within your level range and receive an Attendance Stamp. Some monsters do not apply.
• Click "Complete" and select receive gift to obtain the day's reward. Rewards not yet received can be obtained at a later date before the event ends.

How to Participate

1. Receive Sylph Pendant

• Accept the quest "[Freud's Journal] Behold the Pendant" from Freud's Journal icon in the Event notifier.

2. Sylph Pendant’s Growth

• The pendant's potential cannot be reset (Awakening Stamps cannot be used to develop the potentials).
• If an Item Guard is used on the Sylph Pendant, the pendant cannot grow during the time it is sealed.
• The Sylph Pendant can be thrown away but you will have to restart your quest progress.

2-1. Stage Growth. The Pendant Released

• Complete the quest ‘[Freud's Journal ] The Pendant Released’. The Sealed Sylph Pendant must be in possession (cannot be repeated).
• Accept the quest ‘[Freud's Journal] The Pendant Released’. Hunt 999 monsters in level range. Complete quest with the Sealed Sylph Pendant in the Equip Inventory. (Cannot complete quest with it equipped).

2-2. Stage Growth. The Pendant Released

• Complete the quest ‘[Freud's Journal] The Pendant Released’. The Freed Sylph Pendant must be in possession (cannot be repeated).
• Accept the quest ‘[Freud's Journal] Pendant's Awakening’. Eliminate 1 Easy Horntail. Have Freed Sylph Pendant in the Equip Inventory. (Cannot complete quest with it equipped).

3. Getting to Know the Sylph Pendant

• Accept the quest '[Freud's Journal] Time With The Pendant' to acquire a Closed Magic Pocket Pouch.
• Remain in the game for 30 minutes with the Closed Magic Pocket Pouch in your inventory.
• Quest is complete when the item changes to an Open Magic Pocket Pouch after 30 minutes.
• Can be done 4 times daily per character.
• The item will disappear if logging out. 

3-1. Sylph Pendant Training

• Accept the quest '[Freud's Journal] Daily Pendant Training'.
• Select one mission out of 5. (The Daily Training missions will reset each Thursday.)
• Complete the mission requirement and complete the quest in the quest notifier.
• Sylph Stone can only be used on Awakened Sylph Pendants.
• You cannot use scrolls other than the Sylph Stone on the Awakened Sylph Pendant.

3-2. Pendant's Weekly Goals

• Complete the weekly goal quest from the previous week and equip the Sylph Pendant (cannot be repeated).
• Complete quest requirements for each week.
