[Update] Added information about the 24-hour 2x EXP event that activates after completing goddess statues.

The war against the Black Mage continues to draw nearer, which means there are more Maple Alliance events available to help Cygnus restore peace to Maple World! If your character is Lv. 61 or higher, join the Maple Alliance and start completing Maple Alliance missions to accumulate Determination. As you and other players gain Determination, the World Gauge will gradually fill up and progress the story, and help to unlock the final battle against the Black Mage!

[Updated December 6] In addition, every time one of the three goddess statues is completely filled with Determination, a 2x EXP event will activate for 24 hours in all Reboot and non-Reboot worlds! This event will start up to 1 hour after the goddess statue is completed. Go out and gather Determination to help the Maple Alliance!

Increase Your Alliance Rank!

Help the Maple Alliance in their fight against the Black Mage and increase your Alliance Rank along the way! Every time a gem is completed in the Journey of Destiny, you'll unlock a new Alliance Rank, starting at Warrior and going all the way up to Legend (there are a total of 13 ranks). Once you've unlocked a rank, you can activate it by turning in your Alliance Medals to NPC Neinheart. You'll earn Alliance Medals by giving Determination; 100 Determination will grant you 1 Alliance Medal, as well as an extra 10 Alliance Medals each time you transfer 10,000 Determination. These rank-ups will grant you access to new Alliance Skills as well as new items in the Alliance Supply Depot, so get out there and fight to save Maple World! All of these bonuses will remain in place for a period of time after the Black Mage is defeated.

You'll also earn special Empress's Gift rewards with each increase in rank! Empress's Gifts can only be received once per world, can be traded within the world, and have a 10-day duration. The Empress's Gifts are as follows:

Fight with Special Alliance Skills!

As you increase your Alliance Rank, you'll earn access to special Alliance Skills! There are three types of Alliance Skills: Content Skills, Stat Skills, and Goddess Statue Skills. Each of these skills are acquired through different means:

• Content Skills: Content skills are learned by using skill points earned from Grendel the Really Old.
• Stat Skills: Stat skills are automatically learned upon ranking up then speaking to Grendel the Really Old.
• Goddess Statue Skills: Goddess Statue skills are automatically learned upon progressing the Goddess statute then talking to Grendel the Really Old.

Alliance Skills can be reset once daily per rank. You can see the whole list of available Alliance Skills here.

Messenger of Darkness & Living Chains

Defeat Elite Monsters and earn Determination as you face a Messenger of Darkness and Living Chains!

Every 5th, 10th, and 15th Elite Monster that is defeated on a map will spawn a special monster called the Messenger of Darkness! If you defeat the Messenger of Darkness, it will drop 400 Determination!

After the player defeats 11 Elite Monsters, the map will be wrapped up in the Black Mage’s Living Chains! The chains will remain for 10 minutes, and will span a number of different areas around the world map. If you can find and destroy these Living Chains, each one will drop 900 Determination, as well as apply a buff for everyone in the map that grants +50% EXP for 10 minutes. There is a cap of 4,500 Determination per day that can be gained from Living Chains.

Moonbridge

At the farthest end of the Arcane River, at the entrance to the region of Tenebris, you will find Moonbridge, a nocturnal passageway shrouded in fog. To access Moonbridge, you must have reached your 5th Job Advancement (Lv. 200+) and have completed the quest "[Black Mage] Outpost Gathering." Once these requirements have been met, you can accept the quest "[Black Mage] Neinheart's Call" to venture into Moonbridge.

The story of Moonbridge will advance as the Journey of Destiny progresses. All areas in Tenebris, including Moonbridge, have a 1-hour time limit, after which hunting does not grant any EXP. In that time, you'll need to complete as many missions and hunt down as many monsters as you can! Tread carefully through Moonbridge, as there are fearsome, tentacle-like monsters that will leap out of the sky to attack you, and occasionally the winds will sweep your party away to do battle with enemies in the air.

At the end of Moonbridge lies the Gloom, whose enormous eye will strike fear into your party, giving you only 5 minutes to defeat it before being banished from the battle! Bring all your courage and might to this battle, and fight on so that you can continue to explore the deepest ends of Tenebris!

Defense Mission: Captured Soldiers

Save Maple Alliance soldiers in the Captured Soldiers Defense Mission! This mission will start alongside the Tenebris Expedition, and will last until the Alliance has made it past Moonbridge. Characters who are Lv. 61 and up and have completed the quest "[Black Mage] Outpost Gathering!" can partake in this mission by accepting the "[Alliance Mission] Defense Mission - Save the Soldiers" mission from Athena Pierce or through the notifier.

When the Signal Flare item received from Athena Pierce is used, captured soldiers will appear for 10 minutes while you defeat monsters. The soldiers will disappear after this time, so save as many as you can! Rescuing Captured Soldiers will earn you Determination, and will recruit the soldiers to fight alongside you for a short period. Up to 20 soldiers can be saved in each rescue mission.

Defense Mission: Help from Above

Take to the sky in the Help from Above Defense Mission! This mission will start alongside the Tenebris Expedition, and will last until the Alliance has made it past Moonbridge. Characters who are Lv. 61 and up and have completed the quest "[Black Mage] Outpost Gathering!" can partake in this mission by accepting the "[Alliance Mission] Defense Mission - Help from Above" mission from Athena Pierce or through the notifier.

Help from Above is an aerial combat mission where 1-4 players can work together to deliver supplies for the Alliance from the ground to a battleship in the air. While in a party, the party leader can talk to the NPC Pilot Irvin to start the mission. Once the mission begins, each player boards a fighter plane according to their flight level, and carries out the operation for 5 minutes. You can carry supplies by colliding into the supply boxes on the ground. While you have supplies, if you make contact with soldier NPCs on the airship, you’ll deliver the supplies and obtain Flying Points. You can receive 1 Determination for every 10 Flying Points after completing the mission by speaking to NPC Pilot Irvin. When the accumulated Flying Points reach a certain amount, your flight level increases, allowing you to ride better fighter planes.

This mission can be entered a total of 5 times every day. You can obtain up to 30,000 Flight Points per one mission, and a maximum of 100,000 Flying Points in one day. Join the Maple Alliance air force to defeat the Black Mage's minions!
