Theme Dungeon: Kerning Tower

Requirement: Lv. 145 and above

• Enter the new Kerning Tower and help Blake with his musical woes.
• Blake has come up with a new sound that he's confident will catapult him back to the top. He just needs a singer, and a talent scout, and basically everything. That's where you come in!
• Work your way through Kerning Tower to find the new talent Blake needs. Fight through new monsters and meet new people who will play a vital role in your quest.

Rewards:

• Jackpot Entertainment Co-CEO: Title. Req. Lv: 150, STR/DEX/INT/LUK: +8, MaxHP/MaxMP: +400, Weapon ATT/Magic ATT: +1.

‘A Better Maple’ System Changes

We've been working hard to improve MapleStory, and have made the following changes:

• Monsters now drop potions proportional to the monster’s level.
• Pets follow characters more quickly and pick up items. When the character is moving quickly, the teleportation range of pets is increased.
• When a pet buff is enabled or disabled, the message will now appear in the "Combat" tab.
• The icons of items that have expiration dates have been changed so that it's easier to see them in your inventory.
• Potential Stamps, Bonus Potential Stamps, and Golden Hammers now function similar to cubes, where you double-click the item, and then click on the piece of equipment you want to modify.
• If you receive a completion stamp for content using the Maple Guide, you can move to that content's location through the Maple Guide, regardless of your character's level.
• The stats have been changed to HP when Demon Avenger characters obtain the following items from Mu Lung Dojo: Hero's Gloves, Mu Gong's Gloves, So Gong's Gloves, Expert's Gloves, or Expert Apprentice's Gloves.
• Maximum down jump height has been increased for all jobs, except Mechanics.
• Mechanics can now select the color of their mech, instead of receiving a random color.
• The Shop tab in the Silent Crusade UI now sells the same items as the Silent Crusade Hideout NPC shop. Items such as Spell Traces are also available for sale.
• You can purchase multiple items at once from coin shops (does not apply to certain items).
• The buff and debuff icons display concurrently on monsters.
• Soul skill durations are displayed on the upper right-side of the screen.
• You can right-click a character's name from the chat window to receive the options to Whisper, Add Friend, Party Invite, etc.
• If the ‘Revive Character’ button is clicked during the character deletion grace period (ghost state), you can check one more time before reviving the character.
• Meso and EXP amounts displayed in the chat window are separated in units of 1,000 to increase readability.
• You can now assign other shortcuts to the ESC and Scroll Lock keys. The Main Menu and Screenshot shortcuts can now be assigned to other keys.
• The icon color of Epic Potential Scrolls Unique Potential Scrolls, and Legendary Potential Scrolls has been changed to easily differentiate from regular Potential Scrolls.
• The display for NPC names have been altered to improve readability.
• Unused NPCs and certain moving background graphics will be removed to improve stability within the Event Hall.

Due to last-minute issues, the following previously announced changes will not be implemented at this time:

• Angelic Busters have more Cash customization options:
  • Cash items such as outfit, top, bottom, eye accessory, ear accessory, shoes, and cape are customizable.
  • Weapon and ring cash items are shared regardless of transformation state.
  • Angelic Buster's Dress-Up tab in the equipment window has been moved to the Cash tab to see both before and after transformation customization options at once.
  • The Hyper Coordinate skill has been removed since you can customize using the Cash tab in the equipment window.
  • You can view the before and after customization options via the Dress-Up button in the Cash Shop's preview area.

Maple Value Points (MVP) Service

• The Maple Value Points (MVP) Service gives rewards based on how much NX you spend in MapleStory.
• Depending on the amount of NX spent, you will be placed in different MVP tiers.
• In order to provide everyone with a fresh start, all NX spent will begin calculating starting after the game update on March 1. Going forward, your tier will depend on the amount of NX spent in the past 3 months (starting from March 1), as well as the total amount of NX spent over your account's lifetime (starting from March 1).
• You will receive daily rewards as well as monthly gifts and perks depending on your tier.
• MVP Bronze Tiers (based on lifetime spend):
  • Spend 10,000 - 99,999 NX (Lifetime): MVP Bronze I
    
  • Spend 100,000 - 199,999 NX (Lifetime): MVP Bronze II
    
  • Spend 200,000 - 299,999 NX (Lifetime): MVP Bronze III

Bug Fixes

• Beast Tamer's Gold Card Buff will now properly buff party members.
• There was an issue where the Black Heaven Act III beginning and ending cutscenes appeared swapped. This issue will be fixed so that the correct cutscene appears at the correct time.
• An issue where the Luminous tutorial UI shows untranslated text will be fixed.
• The description for the final set bonus on the Dragonic Lapis Renewal will be fixed.
• The NPC Rice Cake Mommy Moon Bunny will no longer appear in Pantheon.
• The NPC Christmas Tree will no longer appear in Ludibrium.

Requirement: Lv. 33 and above

• For you Maplers who are looking for an additional challenge, Von Leon invites you to test your mettle in Hard Mode!
• You can fight Von Leon in Hard Mode once a day. The daily entry limit for Hard Mode is separate from the Easy and Normal Von Leon.

Aran and Xenon Quest Revamp

• Some of Aran and Xenon's quest lines have been updated.

• It’s matchmaking time! Jerry and Terri invite you to find your Best Friend match.
• They will conduct interviews and look for potential candidates based on your level. Make a new friend to party with, and earn some excellent prizes!
• Accept the the quest ‘Find your new best friend’ and you will be provided with a membership card. This membership card allows you to open the BFF Finder UI and find the perfect someone.
• Complete different missions together, hunting monsters or avoiding obstacles!
• After you complete all of the missions, you can provide feedback about your match.

• Explore Maple World in search of ancient artifacts, and gather Artifact Points that can be redeemed for rewards!
• You can acquire Artifact Points in three different ways:
  • Hunt monsters within your level range (10 levels below and 20 levels above) and retrieve Unidentified Artifacts.
  • Destroy the Unearthed Artifacts that appear in major towns.
  • Use the Excavation Tool Pouch daily.

Steamed Bun Maestro

Requirement: Lv. 33 or above (Zero characters must have completed up to Chapter 2).

• Become a connoisseur of Steamed Buns! Accept the quest 'Steamed Bun Maestro!' from your event notifier to begin this event.
• Hunt monsters within your level range (10 levels below and 20 levels above) in order to obtain the items you need to create delicious Steamed Buns! Each Steamed Bun you create will award you with EXP and a random trait boost.
• Create 10 Steamed Buns in one day to get a Golden Steamed Bun, which will award you with a 2x EXP coupon and a trait boost of your choice. Each day, you can craft a maximum of 10 Steamed Buns.

Rewards:

With each Steamed Bun you craft, you will gain Bun Buxx, which can be used in the point shop to obtain various items such as chairs, scrolls, cubes, etc! Some of the items include:

• Wrap yourself in a tale of mystery, intrigue, and betrayal with the Chocky Days event quests!
• A new quest is made available every day, but the quests must be completed sequentially in order to progress.

The Hot Week times are 1:00 AM to 1:00 AM Pacific Daylight Time (PDT).

Requirement: Lv. 30 and above (Zero characters must have completed up to Chapter 2).

• During the event period, log in and click the gift box icon on the left side of the screen to receive a Gift Box, and then double-click the box in your inventory to open it.
• The Gift Box can be obtained once every day until 1:00 AM PDT, and can be opened until 2:00 AM PDT (5:00 AM EDT / 11:00 AM CEST / 7:00 PM AEDT).
• If you obtain a Gift Box every day from Monday to Saturday, then on Sunday—in addition to Sunday's reward—you can select another gift! You can select one from all of the items that were given out from Monday to Friday. You are not required to have received each day’s Gift Box on the same character in order to be eligible for the extra gift, but it does have to be with characters in the same world (multiple worlds in World Alliances don't count).
