V.187 – Override: Venture is live on July 20!

The summer of adventure continues with new areas Eluna and Arcana! Travel to the planet of Eluna and mine the minerals found on its surface to earn EXP! Arcane River expands with the mysterious forest of Arcana, where the spirits of darkness are taking over the land. You can also visit Lachelein and make your way through the stages of Dream Defender. Other exotic locales to visit include the updated Fantasy Theme World dungeon, and the sands of Nihal Desert. All this and more in the Override: Venture update!

NEW CONTENT

Dream Defender

  • Help Mr Flopsy the Dreamweaver fight back the nightmare by protecting Sleepytime Music Boxes and destroying Nightmare Music boxes in the tower.
  • Travel between 5 rooms within the tower, fighting monsters that are attacking the Sleepytime Music Boxes and turning them into Nightmare Music Boxes.
  • Attack the Nightmare Music Boxes to turn them back into Sleepytime Music Boxes.
  • Eliminating monsters and Nightmare Music Boxes will start to fill the Dream Defender Gauge yellow. Eliminate all of the purple in the Dream Defender Gauge to clear the stage and proceed to the next.
  • You will earn Dream Points every time you clear a stage. The number of Dream Points earned will increase by 10 every 10 stages, starting with Stage 20.
  • Use Dream Points to purchase Tactical Abilities while in Dream Defender. Each Tactical Ability can only be used once per stage.
    • Gauge Freeze - 200 Points: Stops all movement on the gauge for 5 seconds.
    • Wake-up Call - 300 Points: Destroys 1 random Nightmare Music Box.
    • Call Flopsy - 400 Points: Calls Mr. Flopsy to provoke nearby monsters (lasts 15 seconds).
    • Kaboom - 900 Points: Destroys all monsters and prevents them from re-spawning for 10 seconds.

Dream Coins

  • Dream Coins are awarded depending on which stage you reach when you exit Dream Defender.
  • You can receive up to 500 Dream Coins per day.
  • You can exchange 30 Dream Coins for 1 Arcane Symbol: Lachelein.

Dream Defender Medals

  • You can collect Dream Defender medals from My. Flopsy depending on which stage you have completed.
    • Complete Stage 30 - Dream Defender Stage 30 Conqueror: Unique, Untradeable, STR/DEX/INT/LUK +3, MaxHP/MaxMP +300

  • Your weekly rank will automatically be recorded based on the highest stage you cleared that week.
  • The weekly rankings will be calculated and reset every week on Sunday.
  • The top players will have a statue of their character placed in Lachelein Main Street for 1 week.
  • Players that have reached the daily limit of Dream Defender attempts can speak with these 5 statues to receive Dream Coins once per day.
    • 1st Place Statue: 10-14 Dream Coins

Fantasy Theme World

Requirement: Lv. 120 and above

  • Revisit Fantasy Theme World and its all-new story line.
  • Help a hopeless romantic named Dylan plan out the proposal of a lifetime for his 101st love.

Arcana

UTC: Available August 9 (after maintenance)

Requirement: Lv. 225 and above

  • After ending Lucid's nightmare in Lachelein, journey further along the Arcane River to the forest of Arcana.
  • Unravel the mysteries of Arcana and aide the spirits in defeating the dark corruption that is taking over the Spirit Tree.

Rewards:

ADDITIONAL UPDATES

Bug Fixes

  • The Onmyouji Fan cash cover can now be properly equipped over Whip Blade and Desperado weapons.
  • The text color for the Dark Magician Label Ring and the Dark Magician Chat Ring has been adjusted to be more readable.
  • The text for the Pet Fullness indicator will no longer appear to overlap.
  • The Jett skill 'Starfall' will now have a cooldown time of 60 seconds.
  • The tooltip for the 'Ignore Item Skill' will be corrected.
  • The Beast Tamer ability 'Lil Fort' will now properly apply critical hit damage.
  • The Bowmaster 5th job skill 'Inhuman Speed' passive effect will now work properly.
  • The Blaze Wizard 5th job skill 'Savage Flame' will no longer cause debug text to appear in the chat window.
  • The title for the Legion System UI window will be changed from 'Maple Union' to 'Maple Legion'.
  • The Legion Coin icon in the Legion Raid will be corrected from a 'U' to an 'L'.

ELUNA EVENTS

Elunarium Energy

UTC: July 19 at 12:00 AM – August 29 at 11:59 PM

  • Visitors from Eluna have come to Maple World!
  • Hunt monsters to obtain Elunarium. There are 8 types of Elunarium that can be turned in or consumed for special effects.
  • Earn increased Weapon ATT/Magic ATT, Boss Damage, Ignore Enemy Defense, and Crit Rate!
  • Only 200 of each type of Elunarium can be obtained each day for a total of 1,600 units max per day. If you are unable to obtained 200 in one day, you can obtain more additionally the next day.

Rewards: Turn in 200 of each Elunarium to the NPCs in town to choose from one of the following rewards (once per day per world):

  • Hyper Teleport Rock: 1-day duration.
  • Pendant Slot Expansion: Untradeable, 1-day duration.
  • Mr. Wang's Storage Wagon: 1-day duration.

Otherworldly Luck

UTC: July 19 at 12:00 AM – August 29 at 11:59 PM

  • Visitors from Eluna have brought with them Otherworldly Luck!
  • When your character dies and revives, there is a chance that Otherworldly Luck will activate. This will be one of three effects - prevent EXP loss, respawn on the current map you died on, or freeze some of your buffs when you are revived.
  • These "wins" cannot be stacked.
  • The pertinent cash item will not be consumed (example - Safety Charm will not be used if the Safety Charm effect of Otherworldly Luck takes effect).
  • If you close the game before reviving, you cannot use Otherworldly Luck when you log in again.

Eluna's Prospects

UTC: July 26 at 12:00 AM – August 29 at 11:59 PM

Requirement: Lv. 33 and above.

  • Join a party of 10 to 40 players and travel to the mineral-rich planet of Eluna!
  • Accept the invite or gather at the Eluna Express Station at the top of the hour from 9:00 AM to 11:59 PM (UTC). A minimum of 10 players are required in order to move to Eluna.
  • Complete quests to learn the basics of exploring Eluna, its surrounding areas, and to be made aware of environmental hazards!
  • Collect Prospector Points by hunting monsters on Eluna and gathering as many Elunite Crystals as you can in 30 minutes.
  • Earn a higher ranking by exploring more places, hunting more monsters, and harvesting more Elunite Crystals.

Rewards:

  • Prospector's Box (Ranks S/A/B/C/D): You can receive up to 16 boxes per day. Open the box to receive items such as:
    • Power Elixirs
    • Spell Traces
    • Override Coins
    • Elunarium
    • Soul Shards

Eluna Express

UTC: July 26 at 12:00 AM – August 29 at 11:59 PM

Requirement: Lv. 30 and above (to move to the Eluna Express).

  • The Ryuul are here to help Maplers level up more efficiently!
  • Once you have completed your 2nd job advancement, you can move to the Eluna Express ship and initiate the first in a steady chain of storyline quests.
  • These quests will carry you all over Maple World, leveling you up to Lv. 150.
  • Along the way you will be given the Eluna Challenge Log, with special missions to complete. Each time you fulfill certain requirements, you will receive rewards!
  • Once you begin the storyline for Eluna Express, you will be able to use the ship to teleport directly to maps relevant to your level.
  • Complete certain storyline quests to be rewarded with equipment and 2x EXP coupons!
  • Complete the entire Eluna Express storyline to earn a special medal.

Rewards:

  • Student of the Ryuul: Medal. Req. Lv: 150. STR/DEX/INT/LUK +19, MaxHP/MaxMP +150.

Elunarium Accessory Crafting

UTC: August 9 at 12:00 AM – August 29 at 11:59 PM

Requirement: Lv. 33 and above.

  • Elunarium accessory crafting is available!
  • Combine the Elunarium Ore found while hunting monsters with the Elunarium Accessories (earrings and necklace) purchased from the Override Coin Shop.
  • The crafting UI can be accessed through the Eluna notifier on the left side of the screen.
  • The type and amount of Elunarium Ore that you have in your inventory will dictate the accessory item's level as well as its stats.
  • If both the earrings and necklace are equipped, you will receive a set bonus of STR/DEX/INT/LUK +5, MaxHP/MaxMP +500.
  • Eluna skills can be found in the Beginner skills tab once you equip the accessory.

Break the Elunarium Pillar

UTC: August 9 at 12:00 AM – August 29 at 11:59 PM

Requirement: Lv. 33 and above.

  • Elunarium Pillars are appearing in Henesys, Leafre, Scrapyard, and Chu Chu Island! The pillars appear for 5 minutes every 20 minutes.
  • Work together with other players to break apart the pillar and collect various Elunarium Ores as well as trait items!

  • Complete daily missions consisting of consecutive playtime and objective requirements in order to receive daily tiered box rewards.
  • Each day you can earn up to 4 boxes that increase in value as you complete each daily tiered requirement.
  • Earn cumulative tiered box rewards based on the number of daily tiered box rewards earned throughout the event.
  • For example, complete daily missions and earn 12 daily tiered box rewards to earn a Tier 1 cumulative box reward.
  • Rewards increase in value as you complete each cumulative tiered requirement.

Override Mega Burning Project

[Updated August 17] We are aware of an issue where some players delete their "Burning" character, and cannot select a new character as their "Burning" character. We are currently investigating this issue.

Requirement: This event can only be started by characters created during the event period.

  • Create a new character, and choose to select that character as your 'Burning' character.
  • The character will gain 2 additional level ups per one level up. This effect will last from Lv. 10 to Lv. 149.
  • Choose wisely, however, as you can only make one character a Burning character.

Festival Sugar Time

  • Join the Festival Sugar Time event on August 13th!
  • Remain logged into the game for 30 minutes, 60 minutes, 90 minutes, and 120 minutes to receive rewards.
  • Once all 4 of the timed rewards are collected, they can be repeated again for up to 5 times each.
  • You must complete all 4 of the timed rewards before they can be repeated.
  • Rewards can only be claimed once per account.
  • The total accumulation of time is shared across the account.

  • Zero will be available for creation for a limited time.
  • You must have a character that is Lv. 100 or above in the same world that you wish to create a Zero character.
  • Zero cannot be created on Reboot world.

Latte Trio Event

UTC: July 19 (after maintenance) – August 1 at 11:59 PM

Requirement: Lv. 33 and above.

  • Hunt monsters within your level range (10 levels below and 20 levels above) to collect Latte Milk.
  • Collect Latte Milk to make 3 different types of latte: Green Tea Latte, Caramel Latte, and Strawberry Latte.
  • Collect enough Latte Milk to completely make each Latte and collect different rewards.

Rewards for Completing Each Latte:

  • Make Green Tea Latte (20 Latte Milk to complete): EXP based on level. Can be completed 30x per day.
  • Make Caramel Latte (40 Latte Milk to complete): Random amount of mesos. Can be completed 15x per day.

The Legends Return

UTC: July 19 (after maintenance) – August 8 at 11:59 PM

Requirement: Lv. 33 and above (Zero characters must have completed up to Chapter 2).

  • The Legends return to the arena as two teams of six battle it out in a virtual battleground. Become one of the Maple Legends such as Grendel the Really Old, Manji, and even Athena Pierce!
  • Click on the star event notifier on the left side of the screen to talk to NPC Cynapse in order to move to the waiting room map.
  • The team to defeat all members of the opposing team will be declared the victor!
  • Going into the battleground as a party is possible, but no rewards will be given and scores are not recorded.
  • During the entirety of the Legends Return event, rankings will be recorded and based on your current score in The Legends Return when the event ends.
  • You can complete achievements to get Override Coins, and receive a medal once all achievements have been completed.

Rewards:

  • God of Battle Medal: Req. Lv: 33. STR/DEX/INT/LUK +3, Weapon ATT/Magic ATT +2, MaxHP/MaxMP +500.

  • Spiegelmann needs your help in Nihal Desert.
  • Accept the quest 'Nihal Desert Trade Tycoon' by selecting the coin icon from the star icon on the left side of the game screen.
  • You will obtain 50 Gold Coins when entering, which can be used to trade with the merchants in the Nihal Desert trade zone.
  • Purchase wagons and hire porters from Wealthy Merchant Hatsar to increase your speed and weight limit.
  • This event is available 10 times per day per world.

Cash Inventory Transfer Event

UTC: August 17 – August 30 (event starts and ends during a maintenance)

  • Do you have a cash item you’ve wanted to move to another character on your account? Now you can! We're bringing back the Cash Inventory Transfer Event!
  • For a limited time, you will be able to transfer most cash items between your characters within the same world. Take this opportunity to share a Hyper Teleport Rock, move cash cover items between characters, move a beloved pet to a new character, and more!
  • Transferring cash items between your characters is easy! All you need to do is follow these simple steps:
    • Enter the Cash Shop.
    • Pick an eligible item you would like to transfer to a different character, and move it into your Cash Inventory.
    • Right-click the item.
    • Click the 'TRANSFER' button.
    • Select the recipient of the item from the drop down.
    • Click the 'OK' button.
    • The selected item will now appear in the other character’s Cash Inventory the next time you login to that character.

Rules and Restrictions

  • The Cash Inventory Transfer Event will begin on August 17 after the scheduled maintenance and end on August 30 right before the scheduled maintenance.
  • You can only transfer cash items between characters in the same world. This does not include different worlds in the same world alliance. For example, you can transfer items between two characters on Mardia, but you cannot transfer an item from a character on Mardia to a character on Kradia.
  • All jobs are able to transfer cash items between each other, but Explorers will not have the option to transfer to another Explorer because they already share their Cash Inventory.
  • There are a few items that are not able to be transferred:
    • EXP Coupons
    • Potion Pot
    • Shop Permits and Hired Merchants
    • Friendship and Couple items

Tinkerer's Chest

Requirement: Lv. 33 and above

  • This quest can be started when you obtain a Tinkerer's Chest from the Marvel Machine!
  • Talk to NPC Yulia, who can be found in major towns and the entry to Henesys Market, to accept quests to exchange your Tinkerer’s Chest for a new shoulder accessory or belt, or to attempt to upgrade your Tinkerer equip.
  • Wearing a matching color shoulder accessory and belt will give you a set bonus.
  • Accept the quest 'Tinkerer’s Set' from NPC Yulia to receive an explanation about how to do the event.
  • Then accept the quest 'Tinker Til You Drop' from Yulia and defeat 200 monsters within your level range (10 levels below and 20 levels above).
  • Turn in the quest to Yulia, and she will give you a random shoulder accessory or belt. This will use 1 Tinkerer’s Chest. This quest is repeatable.
  • You can also bring your Tinkerer item to NPC Yulia for the chance to upgrade it! Each upgrade attempt uses 1 Tinkerer's Chest.
  • From weakest to strongest, the Tinkerer's set colors are Yellow -> Green -> Blue -> Red -> Black. Each colored set comes with its own set bonus.

Rewards:

  • Tinkerer's Black Belt: Req. Lv: 100, STR/DEX/INT/LUK: +100, Weapon ATT/Magic ATT: +50, Weapon DEF/Magic DEF: + 100, 1 upgrade slot (unhammered)
  • Tinkerer's Black Shoulder Accessory: Req. Lv: 100, STR/DEX/INT/LUK: +40, Weapon ATT/Magic ATT: +15, Weapon DEF/Magic DEF: +200, 1 upgrade slot (unhammered)
